Organized Events
Despite its short history, the Institute already has a partnership with Environment Canada and has held – with the State Institute of Environment and Water Resources (IEMA, Instituto Estadual de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos) – an international environmental symposium and workshop from March 3 to 5, 2010, in Vitória, Espírito Santo. The total number of participants was 360, 10 of which represented Petrobras Research & Development Center (CENPES, Centro de Pesquisas e Desenvolvimento) from the States of Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro. This event was supported by the following institutions: Research Support Foundation of Espírito Santo (FAPES, Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Espírito Santo), Service for Support to Small Business Companies (SEBRAE, Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas), Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (FINDES, Federação das Indústrias do Espírito Santo), IEMA, Environment Canada, and University of New Brunswick – Canada.
In addition to that, the Institute held – with the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES, Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo) – an Environmental Biomonitoring Symposium, on May 20 and 21, 2010, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, with the support of the following institutions: ArcelorMittal Brasil, CRBio, FAPES, UFES, and SAMARCO.
